PALETTE, European project

ePrep is one of the 14 partners of the PALETTE (Pedagogically sustained Adaptive LEarning Through the exploitation of Tacit and Explicit knowledge) project supported by the European Commission (FP6 IST Programme, EC Funding: 6 000 000 €, project period: February 2006 - January 2009).

The PALETTE project aims to facilitate and increase individual and organisational learning in Communities of Practice (CoPs), developing an interoperable set of innovative services, as well as a set of specific scenarios of use. The PALETTE Brochure is available here (pdf archive, 436 kB).

At the moment, the ePrep community, which has been developing as a community of interest since 2001, is becoming, with the support of the PALETTE project, a real community of practice. The "ePrep CoP" has been officially launched at the occasion of the 2006 ePrep International Thematic Seminar and is presented on this Web site.

In the framework of her activities inside PALETTE, Nathalie Van de Wiele, Director of ePrep, had the opportunity to:

  • present a communication untitled "Design in use - the case of two CoPs: ePrep and Did@cTIC" in cooperation with PALETTE researchers at the Networked Learning Conference 2008 (Halkidiki, Grece, May 5 & 6, 2008 (article available here - pdf file, 268 kB),
  • present the ePrep CoP projects in the framework of the second PALETTE Review Meeting at the European Commission in Luxembourg on April 8 & 9, 2008 (presentation available here, pdf file 588 kB)
  • present a communication at Online Educa Berlin, November 30, 2007 (presentation available here - pdf file 504 kB),
  • prepare a research paper entitled "Drafting the ePrep CoP ontology - Methodology and lessons learned" (paper available here - pdf file 892 kB),
